Dr. Ming-Wei Wang visits VIB-Ghent University in Belgium
On August 22, 2018, Professor Ming-Wei Wang, Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library and Dean of School of Pharmacy, Fudan University visited VIB-Ghent University in Belgium. He was warmly received by Dr. Jo Bury (Managing Director), Dr. Johan Cardoen (Managing Director), Dr. Boerge Diderichsen (Strategic Advisor) and Dr. Lieve Ongena (Senior Science Policy Manager). During the visit, Dr. Wang held separate meetings with Professor Kris Gevaert (Associate Director) and Professor Xavier Saelens from Center for Medical Biotechnology, Professor Bart N. Lambrecht (Science Director) from Center for Inflammation Research and Professor Jan Steyaet (Science Director) from Center for Structural Biology, exploring potential collaboration opportunities in related fields. In the early evening, Dr. Wang met with Professor Marc Van Montagu, an internationally renowned plant genetics expert at the headquarters of VIB and discussed various means in training technical experts for developing countries.
